Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "user") and GoodJobs4U ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the HK Jobs Database website at this site (the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service — including browsing job listings, registering an account, or paying for an upgrade — you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Service is an online database that aggregates publicly advertised job vacancies in Hong Kong and presents them in a searchable format. We also provide optional paid account upgrades ("Pro") that unlock additional features described on our Pricing page.

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial job-search purposes. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Accounts and registration

• You must provide a valid email address and verify it with the one-time code we send you.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account.
• One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts to obtain repeated free trials or otherwise circumvent usage limits.
• You must notify us immediately at service@goodjobs4u.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Pro upgrade and payment

• Price: the current price for the Pro upgrade is HK$19 HKD ("Upgrade from Free to Pro account"), as displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.
• One-time payment: the Pro upgrade is a single, one-off payment. It is not a subscription and it does not renew automatically — you will not be charged again unless you deliberately make a new purchase.
• Access period: a completed purchase grants Pro access for 1 year, starting when the payment is confirmed. When that period ends, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan and access to Pro features stops. No renewal payment is taken and no action is required from you to let the period lapse.
• Payment method: payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, a merchant-of-record payment platform. Your use of Waffo Pancake is also subject to Waffo's own terms and policies.
• Delivery: access to Pro features is activated automatically on your account once the payment is confirmed, normally within a few seconds of a successful payment, and the 1 year access period runs from that confirmation.
• Refunds: refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
• We reserve the right to change the price of the Pro upgrade at any time. Price changes never affect a purchase that has already been completed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract content from the Service, or use automated tools (bots, spiders, scripts) against it;
• resell, redistribute, sublicense or commercially exploit the job data or any other content obtained from the Service;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, databases or APIs;
• share your account, or resell or transfer Pro access to any other person;
• use the Service to post, transmit or distribute unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing material, or to send unsolicited commercial messages;
• interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the networks connected to it.

We may suspend or terminate your account, without refund, if you breach these rules.

6. Third-party job content

Job listings are collected from third-party sources such as employer websites and public job boards. We do not create, verify, control or endorse that content. We cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, current, or that the employer is still hiring.

When you click an "Apply" link, you leave our Service and are subject to the terms and privacy practices of the destination website. We are not responsible for that website or for your interactions with any employer.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its design, code, layout, database structure, trademarks and original text — is owned by GoodJobs4U and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for your own job search. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, nor that using the Service will result in job interviews or employment. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoodJobs4U and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting service@goodjobs4u.com.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 7, 8, 9 and 12 — will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect when it is published on this page and the "Last updated" date is changed. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
